Today, in class, we were given a booklet. It has to do with the connection of electricity and magnetism. Some examples and diagrams were shown on the smart board. I think they will be uploaded to the blog for those of you who missed it. We learned this Hans Christian Oersted person and his contributions. Ms. K did some experiment where she wrapped a metal wire to a dry cell and to some machine. The dry cell became magnetic. That's about it.

11/25/07
Today, in class, we went over the sheet that was handed out on Thursday. The sheet dealt with distance-time, average velocity, and average acceleration graphs. We are now to work on the sheet labeled 4.1 guide and another sheet. To remind everyone, the 6 page sheet(Appendix 3.8) handed out on Wednesday is due. Also, the test on Kinematics is on Friday.

Scribe Log 09/12/07
Yet again, another exciting day of physics has elapsed. Of course, with the ending of another physics class comes a new daily scribe. That scribe happens to be me today. Yay! Lets start!
At the beginning of class, we went over the lab that was presented yesterday. The lab was called "Waves On a Snakey". We were grouped into a team of four. Each group was handed a slinky. With the slinky, we had to create waves. Then, we recorded how long it would take for the wave to reach the other end and back. The sheet will explain the rest. For those of you who missed out, I'll upload the lab.

After we corrected the lab, we watched a video. The video demonstrated effects of waves, when they are created in different circumstances. The video showed what would happen if two waves collided, the reaction that occurs when the wave pulses are displaced, and a lot of other interesting things. A worksheet was handed out after the video was completed.
